Andrew Rabinovich


Andrew Rabinovich is the Vice President and Head of AI and Machine Learning at Upwork Inc [1]. He has a strong background in computer science and engineering, having received his B.S. degree from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) in 2003 [2]. During his time at UCSD, he was awarded two Chancellor's Research Fellowships and received multiple honors, including the National Science Foundation awards in 2006 and 2007 [3].


Rabinovich's research interests have focused on computer vision, perceptual organization, and automated cancer detection [2]. He has contributed to several significant projects, including early work on Google Glass and AI applications for cancer detection [3]. His work has been recognized with awards such as the Best Paper Award at UCSD's ResearchExpo for Quantitative Spectral Decomposition for Stained Tissue Analysis in 2005 [3].


Before joining Upwork, Rabinovich held positions at Magic Leap Inc., where he worked on convolutional neural networks, deep neural networks, and computer vision techniques [2].
